Single Family Townhouse, Walnut St., Boston MA
This grand, historically significant, single family townhouse built on Beacon Hill in 1812 required work to maximize its market value before being listed for sale. The Ferree Group performed an array of improvements to the property’s interior, exterior and grounds. Work included installing custom historic replacement windows, refinishing period hardwood and marble floors, installing a new home intercom system, painting the interior, upgrading the landscaping and restoring an antique fountain in the garden.
Rob Ferree and his team work to the highest standards of craftsmanship, aesthetics and integrity – and equally so, client relations. From the first meeting my husband and I had with Rob over what was to be a full home renovation, it was clear to us that he was listening carefully. He and his colleagues remained dedicated to our goals and needs at every step of the way, while also giving us the full benefit of their long experience, deep knowledge base and attention to detail throughout the process.

The Ferree Group was chosen for its consultative approach to recommend a renovation plan consistent with the owner’s goals, objectives and budget. We executed a renovation that touched virtually every room in the house including kitchen, bathrooms, bedrooms, living areas and seasonal porch - transforming the house into a warm, attractive, tasteful and fully functional home befitting of its surroundings.
Rob was so professional from the very beginning of my project. After meeting and getting a sense of my style and needs, we established a budget and were off and running! I had heard great things about his work and was extremely satisfied. I would hire Rob again for another project in a heartbeat.
Back Bay Condominium, Boston MA
The buyer of this condominium planned to renovate her new home in two phases. Phase 1 included opening up the floor plan, upgrading the home’s electrical service and lighting plan, and installing a home theater audio video system. A reproduction fireplace was built as the focal point of the new open living area; and custom closets, built-ins, and radiator enclosures were crafted throughout. The original hardwood floors were refinished and a new formal marble entry was installed. All this was capped off by professionally painting the interior. The new owner is delighted with her renovation and has asked us to return for Phase 2!
Rob Ferree and his team made the entire process of renovating my downtown Boston condo a pleasant, painless experience. He was very organized and professional from the initial detailed estimate to the finishing touches. I plan to hire Rob again when the times comes to redo my kitchen and bathroom.
